Torrent MPEG Splitter is a simple video splitting tool that will allow you to extract fragments from your MPEG files in an accurate and intuitive way. The program supports any MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video file, and it offers you two different editing windows for you to set the start and end points more accurately. The oversized preview screen provided will also allow you to work in a more comfortable way.
Though – for obvious reasons – you will work on each MPEG file on an individual basis, Torrent MPEG Splitter allows you to select any number of video files at once. They will be listed in the program’s main interface, so that you can reach any of them with just one click. You can perform a preliminary selection of the desired video fragment without leaving this main window. You can either play the video and set the start and end points on the fly, or drag the slide buttons provided until the desired frame appears on the screen. If you need to fine-tune your selection, you can click on the “Edit” button, which will open a very similar window with a new (smaller) preview screen with a new (though identical) set of controls, and the numerical values for both the start and end points you had selected. These values can be edited, and they provide you with a level of accuracy down to the millisecond.
Once you are happy with your selection, you may go back to the main interface and launch the video extraction process, which will take barely a few seconds and will produce an exact copy of the fragment you selected and of exactly the same quality of the source video file.
